Men’s fashions started to evolve close to 1420. The cotehardie (PP23) became the doublet, first minimize with a waistline seam, then swiftly shortening to waistline duration. Sleeves were typically tied or laced on, and a sleeveless underdoublet was often worn as well. This was worn more than a shirt.
