   I agree with the other reviewers, the size was just right for my 3-year old. The length was good and there was more than enough room to dress my child in warm clothing and still maintain the look of the costume. The only thing that stopped me from giving this a 5-star was the boot slips. It goes over the shoes to get the pirate boot look. I noticed that once we started walking, it was constantly dropping or getting twisted. I stopped often to adjust them. The elastic part didn’t hold up as well as I thought it would and while my child wore the costume on and off before Halloween, I kept the boot slips in the bag so it wouldn’t get worn down. The overall material and quality of the costume was also good. It was durable, no rips or sections falling apart. For future buyers, I would recommend reinforcing the elastic of the boot slips so you don’t waste time adusting them.

   Unfortunately i ordered this costume way too soon for halloween… my 2 1/2 year old saw it and immediately began wearing it everywhere (around the house, outside, to the store, etc.). Needless to say, he didn’t want to take it off; he ate with it on. Nothing would work in convincing him to take it off, as he is in the Pirate Stage right now. Everything Pirate is consuming him.

   Today, i took a good look at the costume and realized that I needed a new one if he’s going to wear it to the pre-school halloween party and out on halloween night to the mall (in public!). I just re-ordered.

   This was a great buy for me and it fit very well!

   If you’re little one is in to pirates, this is the way to go. Easy to put on and take off.

   This costume is sewn all together which will be nice for my lil guy. It does run alil small so get a size bigger to put warm clothes underneath it
